Road Closure Breach Lane 31.03.26

Openreach - Temporary Road Closures - Breach Lane, Upchurch & Boxted Lane, Newington - 31st March 2026 (Swale District)

Due to works planned to be undertaken by Openreach, it will be necessary to close part of Breach Lane, Upchurch & Boxted Lane, Newington from 31st March 2026 with estimated completion by 1st April 2026, or until the works have been completed.

Breach Lane will be closed from approximately 50m south of Mount Pleasant to approximately 50m north of Mount Pleasant, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A2 London Road, Moor Street, Otterham Quay Lane, Horsham Lane, The Street, Forge Lane, Halstow Lane, The Street, Breach Lane and vice versa.

Boxted Lane will be closed from the junction with Breach Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via School Lane, Iwade Road, Church Lane, A2 High Street, London Road, Hartlip Hill, Breach Lane, Boxted Lane and vice versa.

The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole and cabling works are undertaken by Openreach.
