Following further investigations while inspecting and repairing our gas main along the A2 Moor Street, we’ve taken the decision to replace a 300‑metre section of the old gas main with new modern plastic pipe.

This long‑term solution will help ensure a safe and reliable gas supply for the local community and reduce the need for further disruptive repair work in the future.

To carry out this work safely, two‑way temporary traffic lights will remain in place throughout the project. All going well, we aim to complete the replacement and fully reinstate the road by Friday 24 April.

We apologise for the ongoing disruption and would like to thank the Rainham community for their patience and understanding.

We’ll continue to keep you updated as the work progresses.

Please don’t hesitate to email directly with any follow questions about this work.

Kind Regards
