The VE Day 80 event is Thursday 8 May from 7.30pm at The Recreation Ground, Oak Lane, Upchurch. Beacon lighting is 9.15pm in line with national timings. There is refreshments available from The Scouts and The Crown, Pizzas, Hot Dogs and Ice Creams available too. Bring picnic blankets and chairs and come and join the village to commemorate this event.
